Ihre Aufgaben
- Computational and Bioinformatic analyses of large genomic and transcriptomic datasets
- Liquid biopsy library preparation and/or computational analysis
- Management of in vitro studies
- Supervision of students and technical assistants
Ihr Profil
- Completed diploma or master’s degree, and a PhD in natural sciences, computational biology or bioinformatics
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Self-motivation, creativity and proactivity
- Fluency in English; basic knowledge of German is desirable
- A strong background in computational biology or bioinformatics
- Experience in cancer or immunology research
- Proficiency in standard laboratory methods such as PCR, immunoblotting, and flow cytometry
- Experience with in vitro cell culture and CRISPR screens
- Computational skills (e.g., R, Python)
- Expertise in genomic or single-cell transcriptomic analyses
- Experience with spatial transcriptomics or multidimensional imaging data is an advantage

- Who we are: The 'Alig lab' is a young research lab in the Department of Hematology & Stem Cell Transplantation, funded by the Max-Eder Program of the German Cancer Aid, PI Dr. Stefan Alig
- Our focus: Advancing personalized oncology by integrating cutting-edge genomic technologies into the study of malignant lymphomas. Our lab has contributed significantly to this field, with recent publications including Alig, Nature 2024; Sworder, Kurtz & Alig, Cancer Cell 2023; Mutter & Alig, JCO 2023; Alig, JCO 2021.
- Our goals include:
- Harnessing the potential of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and other noninvasive biomarkers to improve disease monitoring, early detection, and therapeutic decision-making.
- Exploring the molecular and clinical diversity of malignant lymphomas to uncover new insights into disease biology.
- Identifying prognostic and predictive biomarkers to refine personalized treatment strategies.
- Translating research findings into innovative approaches to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
- We are looking for: A highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher in the area of translational hematology research.
- Project: Deciphering the genetic heterogeneity of Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) and developing liquid biopsy assays for comprehensive disease profiling.
